SKYLAND (formerly 5-Second Rule) is a high-energy acoustic band based in Dallas. Their musical roots in Celtic, folk, classical, and rock music set the stage for joyous, eclectic performances of traditional, progressive, and original music. Recent appearances include the Wildflower Arts & Music Festival, North Texas Irish Festival, Oklahoma ScotFest, State Fair of Texas, WRR Picnic in the Park, Kemah Boardwalk, and the Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival. Lineup includes Kat Glaze (fiddle), Ian Gill (guitar, mandolin), David Lovrien (whistle, sax, keyboard), Paul Dryer (mandolin, banjo, guitar, harmonica), and Rick Holt (bodhran, drums, percussion). 5-part vocals are a hallmark of their distinctive sound.
